Giving comes from the heart and fulfills a dream of helping others. Volunteering a few hours a week for an organization, participating in a weekend charity events or donating items that will be useful to others provides the greatest opportunity to get involved and to help people in the community.

Dress for Success Tampa Bay

Dress for Success offers this opportunity. Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. I am proud to have served two years as a board member and volunteer and I’m now servicing as the 2020 Board President. It’s both humbling and inspiring to know that my efforts can make a difference in someone else’s life.

They say one of the best thing you can do for yourself is to do something for someone else. That is especially true when you are doing a service project in your community. It feels good; it relieves stress and infuses you with positivity. Touching the lives of people in the community, building relationships and making connections makes a huge difference in building a stronger community for everyone.
